Hexis manufactures professional automotive window tint under two ranges — SKYFALL (the core metal-free range, developed by Hexis R&D in France) and the MAJESTIK nano-ceramic premium line. Up to 43% solar energy rejection, 10-year durability, no interference with mobile, GPS or toll-tag signals. We're an authorised AU distributor — every kit is cut to your customer's exact vehicle with state-legal VLT options applied per panel.

SKYFALL

Hexis' core automotive window-tint line, developed by the Hexis R&D team in France. Metal-free dyed/carbon construction for solid heat and UV rejection without compromising radio, GPS or toll-tag signals. The trade-standard choice across the Monsta Shade range.

MAJESTIK Nano-Ceramic

Premium nano-ceramic range using ceramic particles instead of dyes to selectively block infrared without darkening the film. Higher heat rejection at any given VLT — the right call for sun-belt vehicles and premium installs where cabin temperature is a priority.

Why metal-free is the new trade standard

Until the late 2010s most automotive tint had a metallised layer — sputtered aluminium or similar — to bounce infrared back out. The problem in modern vehicles is that the same metallisation interferes with everything else: mobile signal, GPS, AM/FM radio, electronic toll tags, and on newer cars, the radar arrays for adaptive cruise and lane keeping. Hexis SKYFALL is built explicitly metal-free, which is why it's become the trade-default for cars 2020 and newer.

SKYFALL handles the heat-rejection job through dyed and carbon-particle layers rather than metal, hitting up to 43% total solar energy rejection while staying invisible to the radio bands. For most Australian daily drivers that's the right balance — meaningful cabin temperature reduction with no signal compromise, paired with the 10-year anti-scratch durability that comes from the hard-coat finish.

For premium installs and high-sun jurisdictions (QLD, NT, WA), the MAJESTIK nano-ceramic range delivers higher infrared rejection at any given VLT by using ceramic particles that selectively block IR wavelengths. The trade approach we recommend: SKYFALL on rears and full-vehicle volume jobs, MAJESTIK on the windscreen strip and front sides where heat is felt most.

Frequently asked

Common questions

Is Hexis tint the same as Monsta Shade?+

Yes. Monsta Shade is our trade brand for Hexis automotive tint kits (SKYFALL and MAJESTIK ranges) sold into the Australian market. Same film, same warranty — just our pre-cut packaging and dispatch.

What's the difference between SKYFALL and MAJESTIK?+

SKYFALL is Hexis' core metal-free automotive tint — solid heat and UV rejection with up to 43% total solar energy rejection and 10-year durability. MAJESTIK is the nano-ceramic premium range that uses ceramic particles to selectively block infrared without darkening the film, giving higher heat rejection at any given VLT. For Australian sun, MAJESTIK is worth the upcharge on the windscreen strip and front sides where heat is felt most.

What VLT can I legally install on a front side window in NSW?+

NSW Roads regulations require front side windows to retain at least 35% VLT after tinting (factory glass counts toward this). Anything darker than 35% on a front side is not roadworthy. Rear sides and rear window can go to 20% VLT minimum. Windscreens may only have a top strip (typically no more than 10% of windscreen height) below the dimming line.

Will this affect tolls, GPS or signal in newer vehicles?+

Hexis SKYFALL is explicitly metal-free, which is why it doesn't interfere with electronic toll tags, GPS, mobile signal, AM/FM radio, or vehicle radar systems. This is the practical reason metal-free constructions have replaced older metallised tints across the trade.

How long does the install take?+

A standard full-vehicle tint job (all side and rear windows) takes a competent installer 2.5–4 hours depending on body style. Sedans are faster than wagons, utes vary by cabin spec. The kit being pre-cut to exact panel geometry saves the install time normally lost to hand-trimming.

Is there a warranty on the film?+

Yes. Hexis SKYFALL carries up to 10 years durability backed by the anti-scratch hard-coat. Warranty covers bubbling, peeling, fading and adhesive failure. Warranty is honoured through us as the authorised AU distributor.
